2008 arrived with lots of canine jewel excitement as I managed to acquire a large collection of dog pins (33 total), most of which are not yet in the Dog Jewelry Museum! As soon as the collection arrives I'll get it imaged and will show some of the highlights here.
The New Year is always the time of reflection and we had a great 2007 with the opening of the Museum and the terrific support from the jewelry and dog communities. Donations from jewelry dealers and designers were fantastic and we received national magazine coverage in the excellent dog publication The Bark.
Plans for 2008 include interviews with artists who produce dog jewelry, articles about some of the companies that manufactured dog jewels, and information on dating and appraising the canine pieces in your collection.
